Mardi Gras Madness

Yield: 8 - 9 quarts, about 65 (1/2-cup) servings

Ingredients

1 ice ring
1 (40-ounce) bottle grape juice
1 (48-ounce) can unsweetened pineapple juice
1 (2-liter) bottle lemon-lime soft drink
1 fifth vodka or more, to taste
2 oranges or lemons, sliced
2 limes, sliced

Directions:

Place ice ring in bottom of punch bowl. Add liquids in order given. Float slices of oranges and limes on top.

Editor's Extra: The best way to keep your punch cold is with a large block of ice. A pretty way to do this is to make an ice ring filled with fruit or other garnishes. Here’s how: arrange your fruit or other garnishes (choose an item that is in the recipe or compliments it) along the bottom and side of a large Bundt cake pan. Fill only partially with water, so garnishes don’t move. Freeze; when frozen, remove pan and fill to top with additional water. Freeze again. Run warm water around the pan to loosen the ice. Place ice ring in your punch and enjoy!
