Hot Chili for Two

Ingredients

1 cup frozen chopped onion
2 teaspoons minced garlic
1/4 pound bulk hot Italian sausage
1/2 (14 1/2-ounce) can stewed tomatoes, undrained
1 (15 1/2-ounce) can spicy V-8 juice
1 teaspoon taco seasoning
1 (15 1/2-ounce) can red kidney beans, undrained
sour cream for topping

Directions:

Cook onion, garlic, and sausage in a 2-quart saucepan over medium heat, stirring occasionally, till no longer pink. Stir in remaining ingredients except beans and sour cream. Heat to boiling; reduce heat. Cover and simmer 35–40 minutes, stirring occasionally. Uncover, add beans, and cook 20 more minutes, Stirring occasionally. Top with sour cream, if desired.
