Spicy Beef Bake

Ingredients

1 1/2 pounds ground beef chuck
1 cup onion chopped
1 garlic large, minced
1 (16-ounce) can tomato wedges
1 apple tart, peeled, cored and diced
1/4 cup raisins
2 tablespoons flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon black pepper
1/8 teaspoon cinnamon ground
1/8 teaspoon cloves ground
4 ounces mozzarella cheese shredded (1 cup)
pimiento

Directions:

In a large skillet over medium-high heat, sauté beef, onion and garlic just until meat is no longer pink drain off fat.

Stir in tomatoes, apple, raisins, flour, salt, pepper, cinnamon and clove. Spoon into a 1 1/2 -quart oblong baking dish. Cover and refrigerate up to 24 hours.

Bake covered in a preheated 400° oven for 25 to 30 minutes or until bubbly.

Uncover beef mixture, sprinkle with cheese. Arrange pimiento over cheese. Bake uncovered for 5 minutes or until cheese melts.
