Orange Sauce


Serves: 5

Ingredients

1 cup milk
1/4 cup sugar
3 eggs yolk
2 tablespoons orange liqueur
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract

Directions:

In a small saucepan combine milk and sugar. Stirring over medium heat, bring to a boil. Remove pan from heat. Gradually stir about one-third of the hot mixture into egg yolks, then stir back into hot mixture in saucepan. Return pan to heat. Cook and stir over low heat until sauce coats the back of a metal spoon (do not boil). Remove from heat.

Stir in liqueur and vanilla. Place a piece of waxed paper or plastic wrap directly on surface of sauce and refrigerate. Serve over Chocolate Royale or chocolate ice cream.
