French Bread

Serves: 6

Print this Recipe


   2 1/4 cups water - warm
   2 tablespoons yeast
   3 tablespoons sugar
   1 tablespoon salt
   3 tablespoons vegetable oil
   6 cups flour


Combine all ingredients and then knead 30 times. Let rise for 1 hour. Grease pan and sprinkle with cornmeal. Slit top of dough, and brush with egg. Rise 1 hour. Bake 350° 15 minutes.
