Directions:

* Most everyone likes a good sandwich. Make it more appetizing by using a variety of breads, fillings and garnishes. Create some new sandwich "specials" with sliced tomatoes or cucumbers, a few sprouts, or a different mustard. Garnish with a pickle, a pimiento-stuffed olive or a piece of fruit! You can also serve a sandwich open faced or topped with cheese and broiled. For fun, use two different colors of bread. Just be sure the flavors are compatible. Children will like sandwiches cut with a large cookie cutter as a surpriseĊ  or cut into quarters or on a diagonal and arranged like a butterfly. For a change of pace, try some of the following breads or rolls. pita pocket French Italian sourdough rye, light or dark whole wheat multi-grain bran pumpernickel oat raisin banana nut croissant hamburge r or frankfurter bun bagel, split and toasted English muffin, split and toasted rolls, including Kaiser, hero, onion or sub flour or corn tortilla, taco shell Each of the following sandwich fillings has serving suggestions to add even more variety.
