Applesauce Cupcakes

Ingredients

2 cups flour, stirred and measured
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon cinnamon
1/2 teaspoon cloves
1/2 cup seedless raisin
1/2 cup walnuts chopped
1/3 cup butter
1 cup sugar
1 egg
1 cup applesauce

Directions:

Line 24 cupcake pans with cupcake liners set aside. In large bowl stir together flour, soda, salt, and spices stir in raisins and nuts. In separate bowl cream together butter (or margarine) and sugar add egg and beat until mixture is fluffy. Stir in applesauce alternately with dry ingredients. Fill prepared muffin pans 2/3 full. Bake at 375 degrees F. for 20 to 25 minutes. Cool and serve frosted or unfrosted, as desired. Makes 2 dozen cupcakes.
