Combine butter and chocolate in a microwave-safe container; microwave on high setting until melted, stirring every minute. Stir; cool for 10 minutes. In a small bowl, beat together egg, brown sugar, vanilla and salt. Stir into chocolate mixture. Add flour; mix well. Spread batter in an 8"x8" baking pan that has been lined with aluminum foil and sprayed with non-stick vegetable spray. Bake at 350 degrees for 15 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted near center comes out clean. Cool completely on a wire rack. Cover; chill until firm. Cut brownies into 8 squares. Spread half with ice cream; top with remaining brownies. Wrap in plastic wrap; freeze overnight. To serve, sprinkle with powdered sugar; drizzle with warm chocolate sauce.
Tip: Stock up on ice cream flavors, nuts and toppings…spend an afternoon making banana splits (and memories) with the kids!
