Chicago Style Pizza Casserole

Ingredients

2 (13-ounce) tubes refrigerated pizza crust dough
2 cups spaghetti sauce divided
1 pound sausage browned and drained
1/2 medium onion chopped
2 cups grated mozzarella cheese divided

Directions:

Preheat oven to 375 degrees.

Spread 1 crust over bottom and up the sides of a lightly greased 9 x 13- inch pan. Spread 11/2 cups sauce over crust. Spread cooked sausage and onion over sauce. Sprinkle 11/2 cups cheese over sausage layer. Place remaining pizza crust over top and pinch dough from the lower and upper crusts together. Cut 1-inch slits in top crust. Carefully spread remaining sauce and cheese over top. Bake 30 minutes, or until crust is golden brown and done in the center. Makes 6–8 servings.
