Creamy White Frosting |

3 cups powdered sugar
1/3 cup shortening
1/4 cup milk
1/2 teaspoon clear vanilla extract or almond extract

1 Mix powdered sugar and shortening in medium bowl with spoon or with electric mixer on low speed.
2 Stir in milk and vanilla until smooth. If necessary, stir in additional milk, a few drops at a time, until smooth and spreadable. Generously frosts a 13 x 9-inch cake, or fills and frosts an 8- or
9-inch two-layer cake.
Betty's Tip This frosting is perfect when you want a topping that's white as snow. Clear vanilla or almond extract adds a nice flavor but won't change the color of the frosting.
