Preheat oven to 350°. Blend together dry ingredients; stir in melted butter. Press 2/3 of mixture into a lightly buttered 8-inch-square cake pan. Cover with pie filling. Sprinkle with remaining dry mixture. Bake for 30–35 minutes, until lightly browned. Cut into squares when cool. Serve with ice cream or whipped cream, if desired.
