Classic Chocolate Trifle

Ingredients

1 (6-ounce) package instant chocolate pudding mix
baked or bought chocolate cake
1/2 cup coffee liqueur or strong coffee
1 (16-ounce) carton frozen whipped topping, thawed
6 (1.4-ounce) chocolate-covered toffee candy bars, crushed

Directions:

Prepare pudding according to package directions and set aside. Crumble cake and place half in bottom of a large trifle bowl. Layer with half the liqueur, half the pudding, half the whipped topping, and half the crushed candy bars. Repeat layers. Refrigerate several hours before serving.
