Spicy Shrimp Soup

Ingredients

3 (14 1/2-ounce) cans chicken broth
1 (12-ounce) package frozen peas and carrots
2 - 3 thinly sliced green onions
1/2 teaspoon Chinese five-spice seasoning
1 cup half and half
3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
8 ounces cooked, peeled, deveined shrimp, coarsely chopped
1 teaspoon Dijon-style mustard
snipped fresh parsley

Directions:

Combine broth, peas and carrots, green onions, and 5- spice seasoning in large saucepan. Bring to a boil. Reduce heat and simmer, covered, 5–7 minutes till vegetables are tender. Shake half-and-half and flour in a jar till smooth; Stir into vegetable mixture; cook and stir over medium heat till bubbly. Stir in shrimp and mustard; heat through. Garnish servings with parsley.
