Oriental Turkey Patties

Ingredients

1 pound ground turkey
1/4 cup sweet and sour sauce
1 (8-ounce) can whole water chestnut, drained and chopped
4 medium green onions, sliced (1/4 cup)
hot cooked japanese curly noodles, if desired
sweet and sour sauce, if desired

Directions:

Set oven control to broil. Mix turkey, 1/4 cup sweet-and-sour sauce, the water chestnuts and onions. Shape mixture into 4 patties, each about
1/2 inch thick. Place on rack in broiler pan.
Broil with tops about 3 inches from heat 12 to 16 minutes, turning once, until no longer pink in center. Serve with noodles and sweet-and-sour sauce.

Betty's Tip
Try ground turkey breast for a lower-fat version, as it is only white meat. Regular ground turkey contains dark meat and skin, making it higher in fat. Serve these delicious patties with pea pods and sliced carrots.
