Lemon Jell-O Salad

Ingredients

1 (6-ounce) package lemon jello
3 cups boiling water
1 1/2 cups miniature marshmallows
1 cup crushed pineapple, drained (save juice)
4 bananas, sliced
------------------------------
Topping:
reserved pineapple juice
1 1/2 cups sugar
2 tablespoons flour
2 tablespoons butter
2 eggs, beaten
1 cup Cool Whip
sliced almonds

Directions:

Dissolve Jell-O in boiling water. Add marshmallows and let melt. Allow to cool, but not set. Add crushed pineapple and bananas. Let this set before adding Topping.

Topping:
Cook pineapple juice, sugar, flour, butter, and eggs till thick. Let cool to room temperature; add Cool Whip. Spread on Jell-O; garnish with almonds.
