Cowboy Cheese Puffs

Ingredients

1 loaf firm, unsliced white bread
1/4 pound sharp Cheddar cheese
1 pound Velveeta cheese
1/4 pound butter
2 egg whites, stiffly beaten

Directions:

Remove crust from bread and cut into 1-inch cubes. Melt and stir cheeses and butter in top of double boiler over hot water until smooth. Remove from heat. Fold in stiffly beaten egg whites. Dip bread cubes in cheese mixture until well coated. Place on a cookie sheet, cover, and refrigerate overnight.

Bake in 400° oven for 12–15 minutes or until puffy and brown.
