Ham and Pasta Toss

Ingredients

1 (12-ounce) package pasta
2 tablespoons olive oil
1 (14 1/2-ounce) can chicken broth
3/4 teaspoon dried basil, crumbled (or 1 tablespoon fresh)
4 ounces boiled ham, thinly sliced, cut into 1/2 inch strips

Directions:

Cook pasta according to package directions. Heat oil in medium saucepan over medium heat. Pour in broth; add basil and cook 3 minutes, or until it begins to boil. Pour pasta into large colander to drain. Return pasta to pan and combine with broth mixture. Add ham and toss well. Cook about 2 minutes over medium-high heat; serve piping hot. May sprinkle with Parmesan cheese, if desired.
