Every once in a while, one of you says something that gets the wheels turning around here.

A few weeks ago, Cook’n user Andrea Rhoda left a comment at the bottom of one of our newsletter articles. After congratulating us on Carson’s upcoming wedding and hearing about our out-of-control garden, she said a little summertime ditty had popped into her head:

In fact, I caught myself singing Andrea’s words as I read them. And I told her that “the melons good look’n” might just be my favorite line! 😂

But then I got to thinking...

It’s a song about good food, good friends, family, recipes, summer evenings, and enjoying those little moments before they’re gone.

And, of course, we had to work in a little Cook’n fun along the way. There’s even some advice for anyone with an old cookbook that’s been sitting on the shelf for 20 years:

Because, as the song says, recipes aren’t just ingredients. They’re memories.
