How to Make the Switch

It’s fast and simple. Your recipes come with you!

Step 1 — Download Cook’n
  • • Click here to download Cook'n for Windows
  • • Click here to download Cook'n for Mac
  • • Tap here for Cook'n for iPhone / iPad or go to App Store and search for "Cook'n"
  • • Tap here for Cook'n for Android or go to the Google Play Store and search for "Cook'n"
  • • Tap here for Cook'n for Kindle Fire or go to the Amazon App Store and search for "Cook'n"

Step 2 — Create a Cook’n Cloud Account
  • To create your free Cook'n Cloud account, just launch the Cook'n app and be sure to use the same email you used with MasterCook so we can verify your license and help migrate your membership and account info.

Step 3 — Migrate Your Paid Membership
  • If you currently have an active MasterCook.com or MasterCook AI subscription, simply click here to transfer your membership to Cook’n for a $10 transfer fee and keep all your member benefits without interruption. This does two things: First, it allows the Cook'n app on your computer to fully update to the latest version. Second, after the Cook'n app is fully updated on your computer, it gives you the MasterCook Import Plug-In FREE.

    • Not a paid MasterCook subscriber? No problem...you can still unlock all the premium Cook’n features and services. As a special thank-you to MasterCook users, enjoy 20% off an Annual Cook’n Membership when you join within the next 30 days:

    NOTE: Thousands of people are migrating over from MasterCook to Cook'n and many are asking how to upgrade their Standard Membership to Premium. Many of them want to participate in the Cook'n Forum, download free cookbooks, etc! To do this, simply click here and log in to Upgrade to Premium. Or, just launch the Cook'n Desktop App and click "My Account" at the top of the Cook'n Home Page.

Step 4 — Transfer Your MasterCook Recipes
  • To transfer your recipes from MasterCook to Cook'n, simply follow these steps:

  • 1) Launch the MasterCook Desktop App and export your recipes in the .MZ2 format to your file system

         OR

    If you have LOTS of MasterCook cookbooks, click here to download the MC PowerExporter tool which will allow you to export ALL of your MasterCook cookbooks in one fell swoop!

         OR

    If you do not have the MasterCook App, simply click here to log in to your MasterCook online account and click the Download link next to each of your cookbooks (NOTE: large cookbooks may take several minutes to download)

  • 2) Launch the Cook'n Desktop App and click File → Import → MasterCook and select the files exported in step 1

  • That's it!
