One Click Instead of Ten!

One of my favorite parts of reading your emails is discovering those little everyday annoyances that we don't always notice ourselves.

Recently, Sheree Keller wrote:

“When updating the shopping list and lets say it is for black pepper and there is a down arrow beside the item which means there is more than one recipe that contains that item. I have to hit the drop down arrow and delete the first item then the arrow goes back up so I have to hit it each and every time I want to delete the item which means it is a pain. Also after you have deleted all of the menus under the item you then have to delete the item. Big pain in the butt.”

As I read her message, I found myself nodding.

She's right.

Sometimes it's the little things that make the biggest difference.

So I immediately created a programming task for one of our Cook'n Elves, and they got right to work.

Now, whenever a shopping list item has multiple references underneath it, you'll see a Delete icon next to the main ingredient. Want to remove all the black pepper entries? Just click Delete once, and they're all gone. No expanding. No deleting one item at a time. No extra clicks.

It's a small change, but if you use the Shopping List regularly, I think you're going to love it.

A big thank you to Sheree for taking the time to write in. Suggestions like this help us make Cook'n just a little bit better every single week.

Keep the ideas coming. We really do read them all... and sometimes they turn into new features before the next newsletter even goes out.
