Lemon, Lime, and Cherry Boat

2 slices lemons, cut 1/4-inch thick
2 slices limes, cut 1/4-inch thick
2 maraschino cherries with stems
2 toothpicks

It is best to use a lemon and lime that are equal in size. Otherwise, cut several slices from each fruit until there are two slices of equal size for each boat.

Place a lemon slice on a dish, followed by a lime slice, and topped with a cherry in the center. Hold the fruit in one hand so it forms a C shape, and thread a toothpick through one side of the lemon rind, then the lime, then the cherry, and, lastly, the other side of the fruit slices, making sure the garnish is neatly secured.
