Chocolate-Covered Spoons

Serves: 4

1 ounce semisweet baking chocolate, broken into four pieces
4 plastic, silver, or stainless steel demitasse spoons or teaspoons
4 feet gold cord for bow (optional)

Place the chocolate in a cup and cook in the microwave on high for 1 to 2 minutes, stirring every 30 seconds. Dip each spoon in the melted chocolate and gently shake to remove any excess. Place the spoons on a piece of waxed paper to harden. When the chocolate has set, tie the gold cord into a bow around each handle, if desired.
