Sesame Bread

Serves: 6

2 tablespoons sesame seeds
1 loaf (large) French bread
1/4 cup butter
1/4 cup finely chopped parsley
1/4 cup finely chopped chives


Slice bread lengthwise. Combine butter, parsley, and chives and spread on cut surfaces of bread. Sprinkle with sesame seed and bake in a moderate oven (350°F) for 20 minutes or until loaf is crisp. For a variation try adding garlic to the spread.
