Coeur a la Creme: White House

1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese
1 pound cottage cheese
1 cup heavy cream
1 quart fresh strawberries, hulled
confectioners' sugar


Let cream cheese stand at room temperature for at least 1 hour. Beat until smooth. Add cottage cheese and heavy cream slowly, beating constantly until thoroughly blended. Spoon into 6 individual heart-shaped baskets lined with cheesecloth. Set on tray and chill overnight or for at least 8 hours. To serve, unmold coeurs and arrange fresh strawberries around them. Sprinkle berries with sugar if desired.
