Divine Casserole

1 (16-ounce) package small egg noodle
2 (10-ounce) packages frozen spinach
2 pounds ground beef chuck
2 (6-ounce) cans tomato paste
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
few drops Tabasco
salt to taste
1/2 teaspoon oregano leaves
1 (12-ounce) carton creamed cottage cheese
1 (8-ounce) carton sour cream
2 onions, chopped
2 sticks butter, melted
1 cup grated sharp cheddar cheese


Boil noodles by package directions; drain and rinse under hot water. Cook spinach according to package directions and drain. Add tomato paste, Worcestershire, Tabasco, salt, and oregano to meat. Mix well. Mix cottage cheese, cream cheese, sour cream, and onions. Grease 2 (2-quart) casseroles. Layer ingredients in casserole in following order: noodles, butter, cheese mixture, spinach, noodles, butter, and meat layer on top. Sprinkle 1/2 cup grated cheese on each casserole. Bake at 350° for 40 minutes or until bubbly. Freezes well.
