Spanish Rice #1

Ingredients

1/4 cup salad oil
3/4 cup uncooked rice
1/2 cup onion, chopped
2 cups stewed tomatoes (2 cans)
1 cup water
1 1/2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon sugar
1/2 teaspoon chill powder
1/2 cup green pepper, diced
1/2 cup celery, diced

Directions:

In heavy skillet, heat salad oil. Add uncooked rice cook and stir until golden. Add onion and cook 1 minute. Add tomatoes, water, salt, sugar, chill powder, green pepper, and celery cook in low heat one hour until rice is tender.
