Pepperoni Calzones

Ingredients

1 (1/4-ounce) package active dry yeast
1 cup warm water
1 tablespoon sugar
2 tablespoons oils
1 teaspoon salt
3 to 3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour, divided
1 egg, beaten
garnish: pepperoni, green pepper, mozzarella cheese and sliced mushrooms

Tomato-Basil Sauce:
1 (8-ounce) can tomato sauce
1 (4-ounce) package sliced mushrooms
1 teaspoon dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1 clove garlic, minced
1 egg

Directions:

Dissolve yeast in warm water set aside for 5 minutes. Stir in sugar, oil, salt and one cup flour blend until smooth. Mix in enough remaining flour to make a smooth dough knead on a lightly floured surface for 15 minutes. Place in a greased bowl turn once. Cover and let rise until double in bulk, about 30 minutes. Punch dough down divide into 6 equal parts. Roll each into a 7-inch circle divide Tomato-Basil Sauce evenly and spread over dough to within one inch of its edge. Add desired garnishes to each fold dough in half to cover filling and pinch edges to seal. Place on an ungreased baking sheet let rest for 15 minutes. Brush with egg bake at 200 degrees for 30 minutes.

Tomato-Basil Sauce: Combine ingredients together mix well.
