Melt butter in skillet; add meat and sear. Add onions and fry 5 minutes. Add celery, salt, pepper, and hot water. Cook 5 minutes. Add bean sprouts and mix thoroughly. Heat to boiling point. Mix and add thickening ingredients. Serve over rice or chow mein noodles.
