Gran Sally's Bread Pudding

Ingredients

1 dozen brown-and-serve rolls, cooked and dried
approximately 1 cup whole milk
1/2 cup sugar
1 teaspoon vanilla
1/2 teaspoon nutmeg
1/2 teaspoon cinnamon
4 eggs, beaten

Praline Sauce:
1 (16-ounce) box dark brown sugar
3/4 cup cream
1/4 cup Karo syrup, light or dark
2 tablespoons butter
1/4 teaspoon vanilla

Directions:

Crumble rolls in small pieces. Cover with milk. Add remaining ingredients and mix well. Grease baking dish with generous amount of butter or margarine and heat in oven until very hot. Then pour bread mixture into hot dish immediately and return to 350° oven to bake until a knife comes out clean, approximately 25 minutes. Pride House uses individual gelatin molds for baking dishes.

To serve: Spoon Praline Sauce in bottom of individual dishes. Place serving of pudding over the Praline Sauce and top with rich cream.

Praline Sauce:
Mix sugar, cream, and syrup and boil 5 minutes. Add butter and vanilla. Cool and refrigerate.
