Chocolate Coronet

Ingredients

18 ladyfingers (split)
1/2 cup orange juice
1 pound cream cheese, softened
3/4 cup granulated sugar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 teaspoons vanilla
3 eggs, separated
3 (4-ounce) packages chocolate pieces, melted and cooled
2 cups heavy cream, whipped
1/2 cup chopped nuts (optional)

Directions:

Stand ladyfingers in a 9-inch springform pan. Arrange remaining ladyfingers on bottom of the pan. Combine orange juice, cream cheese, sugar, salt and vanilla. Beat until well blended and smooth. Add egg yolks and beat until smooth. Blend in melted chocolate. Beat egg whites until stiff and fold them in along with whipped cream. Pour mixture into pan over ladyfingers. Put in freezer. Prior to serving, set out a few minutes until soft enough to cut.
