Hummus

Ingredients

2 cups cooked chick peas (or 20 ounce can) drained, with liquid reserved
1/2 cup sesame tahini
1 clove garlic or to taste
juice of 2 lemon (about 1/4 cup)
2 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon salt or to taste
1/4 teaspoon freshly ground pepper or to taste
chopped parsley for garnish

Directions:

1. Place the chick peas, tahini, garlic, lemon juice, oil, salt, and pepper into a food processor and blend until smooth. Use a little of the reserved chick-pea liquid as needed to achieve the desired consistency.

2. Transfer to a small serving bowl, sprinkle with parsley, and serve.
