Chicken Noodle Veggie Soup Mix

Ingredients

1 1/3 cups medium egg noodles, divided
1 teaspoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon chicken bouillon granules
1/4 cup red lentils or green split peas
1 (1 1/2-ounce) package dry vegetable soup mix

Directions:

Layer ingredients in a pint jar: 1/2 noodles, garlic powder, bouillon, lentils, remaining noodles, then veggie soup mix. (Add more noodles on top if jar is not packed tight.) Attach a card with recipe title and these instructions:

Boil 6 cups water. Add contents of jar; bring back to a boil. Reduce heat and cook 20 minutes.

Editor’s Extra:
If desired, stir in 1 package frozen stew mix vegetables and diced chicken or turkey with 1–2 more cups water. Cook until vegetables are tender.
