At-The-Ready Soup Mix


Serves: 5

Ingredients

3 tablespoons beef bouillon granules
1 cup dried split peas
3 tablespoons dried onion flakes
2 teaspoons dried Italian seasoning
1/3 cup uncooked rice

Directions:

Mix ingredients and seal in a jar or celophane bag. When ready to make soup, just bring 4 quarts water to a boil, add soup mix, then simmer covered about 45 minutes.

Editor’s Extra:
If you have leftover ham or ham bone, toss in pot for extra flavor.
