Spicy Cheese Crispies

Ingredients

1 cup margarine, softened
1 (8-ounce) package shredded sharp Cheddar cheese
2 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups crispy rice cereal
Optional:
1 cup pecan halves

Directions:

In a large bowl, blend together margarine and cheese. Add flour, cayenne pepper and salt; stir in cereal. Shape into small balls and place on ungreased baking sheets. Flatten each ball with a fork. Top each with a pecan half, if desired. Bake at 300 degrees for 20 minutes. Cool; store tightly covered.
