Sunday Dinner Steaks

Ingredients

6 - 8 beef cubed steaks
3/4 cup all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon black pepper
oil
1 envelope onion mushroom soup mix
1 (8-ounce) can mushrooms, undrained
1 medium onion, sliced thin
2 (10-ounce) cans beef gravy
2 cans water

Directions:

Dredge steaks in flour/pepper mixture. Brown lightly on both sides in hot oil. Put steaks in 9x13-inch pan. Sprinkle with onion soup mix. Cover with mushrooms. Layer onion slices on top. Mix gravy and water together and pour over steaks and onion. Do not stir. Cover tightly with foil. Bake at 250° for 3–4 hours.
