Ingredients

3 cups flaked fish steaks of your choice, make sure all bones are removed
1/2 cup regular oatmeal, or breadcrumbs, or cracker crumbs
1/2 cup leftover mashed potato
1/2 cup finely minced onion
salt, pepper, or seafood seasoning

Directions:

Mix all the ingredients in a bowl and season to taste with salt, pepper, or prepared seafood seasoning. Let set for a few minutes and mix a second time. Form into small balls a little smaller than a ping-pong ball. Lightly oil a 12-inch Dutch oven and set the fish balls in the Dutch. Make sure they don’t touch. Bake with 5-6 briquets underneath and 18-20 briquets on the lid for 20 minutes. Serve hot.

NOTE: To make these ahead of time put them on a cookie sheet and freeze before packaging them in a freezer container.
