Easy Dutch Oven Scones


Serves: 6

Ingredients

2 cups flour
3/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup plus 1 tablespoon butter
1 tablespoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 cup buttermilk
1/3 cup butter
1/2 cup splenda
1/4 cup frozen blueberry or 1/4 cup raisins and 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon

Directions:

In a medium bowl sift together all the dry ingredients. Add butter and mix until crumbly. Add buttermilk and stir just to combine and lumpy dough results. Sprinkle berries or raisins and cinnamon over dough and kneed 4 to 5 times into dough. Scoop or roll dough to ¾" thick and cut into triangles. Place into Dutch oven and cover. Bake at 425° for 15 to 20 minutes.
