4 slices bacon diced
2 15-ounce cans kidney beans
3/4 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons cider vinegar
1/4 teaspoon cinnamon ground
1/4 teaspoon nutmeg ground
1/4 teaspoon salt

Small skillet
Paper towel

Medium saucepan
Measuring cups
Measuring spoons
Mixing spoon

Fry bacon and drain on paper towel. Open beans and pour off most of the juice. Then put beans and the remaining juice into the saucepan. Add all the other ingredients. Mix well. Cook, uncovered, over medium heat for 30 minutes. Stir often. Pour into serving dish.
