Peach Bread

Ingredients

3/4 cup sugar
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
2 eggs
2 cups peaches puréed over-ripe (4 to 6)
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 cups flour
1 teaspoon cinnamon ground
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1/4 teaspoon salt
1 cup pecans chopped or other nuts

Directions:

Heat oven to 350° F. Cream sugar and butter or margarine until light and fluffy. Add eggs and beat until light. Add peach purée and vanilla. Sift dry ingredients together and mix into batter. Stir in nuts. Pour into well-greased 9 x 5 x 3-inch loaf pan bake for 60 to 70 minutes or until tests done. Cool in pan 10 minutes turn out onto cooling rack.
