1 1/2 cups flour
3/4 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
3/4 cup brown sugar packed
3 tablespoons sugar
1 egg large
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup candy-coated chocolate candies red and green brand candies
Preheat oven to 375°. Lightly grease cookie sheets. Mix flour, baking soda, and salt in a small bowl. Beat butter, brown sugar, and sugar in a large bowl with an electric mixer at medium speed until creamy. Beat in egg and vanilla. At low speed, gradually beat in flour mixture until well blended. Stir in candies. Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls about 2 inches apart on cookie sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes until golden. Immediately remove from cookie sheets and cool on wire racks.
