Coconut Tea Cookies

Ingredients

3 1/4 cups flour
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon baking powder
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups sugar
1 cup lard
1 cup butter real
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 cup coconut shredded
powdered sugar

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350° F. In a small bowl mix flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt set aside.

In a large mixer bowl at high speed beat sugar, lard, butter and vanilla until light and fluffy. At low speed beat in dry ingredients. Stir in coconut. The mixture will be very rich, almost crumbly. Form into 1/2 -inch balls. Place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until golden. Cool cookies on wire racks for 5 minutes.

Dust with powdered sugar.
