1/2 cup butter or margarine
4 ounces unsweetened baking chocolate
2 cups sugar
4 eggs
1 cup flour
1 cup nuts chopped
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
1/2 teaspoon salt

Preheat oven to 350° F. Grease a 13 x 9 x 2-inch baking pan. In a large saucepan over low heat melt butter or margarine and chocolate. Remove from heat. Gradually stir in sugar until well blended. Beat in eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition. Stir in flour, nuts, vanilla and salt until smooth. Spread in pan. Bake for 30 to 40 minutes or until center is set (do not over bake). Cool slightly; cut into bars.
