Chocolate-Peanut Butter Pinwheels

Ingredients

1/2 cup butter or margarine, softened
1 cup sugar
1/2 cup chunky peanut butter
2 tablespoons milk
1/2 teaspoon vanilla extract
1 egg
1 3/4 cups flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
1 (6-ounce) package semi-sweet chocolate chips melted

Directions:

Cream butter or margarine and sugar in a bowl. Add peanut butter, milk, vanilla, and egg blend well. Stir in flour, salt, and soda. Form the dough into a ball place between 2 sheets of waxed paper. Roll dough into a 10 x 17-inch rectangle, 1/3 inch thick. Remove upper sheet of waxed paper spread dough with melted chocolate. Carefully roll dough as for a jelly roll. Chill for 45 minutes. Slice dough 1/4 inch thick, place on greased cookie sheets, and bake in a preheated 375° oven for 10 to 12 minutes. Remove from cookie sheets while still warm.
