Fresh Strawberry Cake

1 (18 1/4-ounce) box yellow cake mix
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/2 cup sugar
1 (16-ounce) carton Cool whip or whipped cream
2 cartons fresh strawberries, sliced thin
1 jar strawberry glaze


Bake cake according to package directions for 2 cake pans; allow to cool. Cut the layers with a piece of thread to make 4 layers. Mix cream cheese and sugars together. Fold in Cool Whip. In another bowl, mix strawberries and glaze together. Start with one layer of cake; spread with a layer of cream cheese mixture, then a layer of strawberry glaze mixture. Repeat with each layer. Keep in refrigerator.
