Double Chocolate Cookies

Ingredients

1 cup sugar
1 cup brown sugar, packed
1 cup butter, softened
2 eggs, beaten
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon cream of tartar
1/2 teaspoon salt
2 cups all-purpose flour
1/2 cup baking cocoa
1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
Garnish: additional sugar

Directions:

In a large bowl, mix sugar, brown sugar, butter and eggs. In another bowl, whisk remaining ingredients except chocolate chips and garnish. Add flour mixture to sugar mixture and combine until well blended. Stir in chocolate chips. Form dough into one-inch balls; roll in additional sugar. Place on ungreased baking sheets. Bake at 350 degrees for 8 to 10 minutes.
