Dutch Oven Pork Chop Casserole

Ingredients

6 pork chops
1 cup uncooked rice
1 1/2 green bell peppers, thinly sliced
2 tomatoes, sliced
1/2 teaspoon oregano
1 (10 3/4-ounce) can condensed beef consommé (condensed bouillon soup)
salt and pepper to taste

Directions:

In a 12” Dutch oven, brown the chops in a small amount of bacon grease. Remove. Put rice in bottom of Dutch oven. Put chops on top of rice. Cover chops with bell pepper, onion, and tomatoes. Sprinkle oregano on top of tomatoes, salt and pepper to taste. Add the can of soup. Cover. Cook 1 hour.
