Apple Banana Bread

Ingredients

1 banana
1/3 cup applesauce
1/2 cup vegetable shortening
3/4 cup sugar
2 eggs
3 tablespoons buttermilk
2 cups flour, stirred and measured
1 teaspoon baking soda
1/2 teaspoon salt

Directions:

Mash bananas add enough applesauce to measure 1 cup set aside. Cream together shortening and sugar. Add eggs and beat well. Add buttermilk and applesauce mixture. Add rest of the ingredients and blend well. Pour into greased a loaf pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 45 minutes or until done.
