Heat chicken broth in stockpot; add onion and garlic; simmer 5 minutes. Add spinach; stir to combine. Purée soup in batches in blender until smooth. Return to stockpot. Stir in whipping cream. Cook over medium heat, bringing just to a boil. Remove from heat, and season to taste with salt and pepper.
