Grilled Garlic Bread with Basil & Parmesan
The basil adds a great twist to regular garlic bread.
|1 loaf||French bread, sliced into 1" thick pieces|
|extra virgin olive oil, for drizzling|
|2 cloves||garlic, peeled and cut in half|
|1/4 cup||snipped basil leaves|
|1/4 to 1/2 cup||freshly grated Parmesan cheese|
Drizzle both sides of bread with olive oil and grill for 2 to 3 minutes without turning, until one side is crisp and beginning to char. Remove bread from grill and rub grilled side thoroughly with the cut garlic. Sprinkle with snipped basil leaves. Evenly distribute Parmesan on the grilled side and return toast to the grill, cheese side up.
