Country-Time Green Beans

Ingredients

1 pound green beans
3/4 tablespoon butter
3/4 tablespoon all-purpose flour
3/4 teaspoon sugar
1/3 cup chicken broth, warmed
3/4 teaspoon cider vinegar
pepper to taste
3 slices bacon, crisply cooked and crumbled

Directions:

Boil green beans, uncovered, for 2 minutes. Drain plunge beans into cold water. Drain cut off stems and ends. Set aside. Melt butter in a 12" skillet whisk in flour until smooth. In a small bowl, combine sugar and broth together add to flour mixture. Bring to a boil stir for one minute. Reduce heat mix in vinegar without boiling. Season with pepper add beans and bacon, heating until warmed.

Country-Time Green Beans are delicious alongside Bacon-Wrapped Chicken (see Quick As A Wink.) Crispy bacon in both makes them extra yummy!
